Designing places to stay
M1 Seating expands the successful M1 furniture system and adds a new dimension. While the M1 shelves and stacking boxes structure and organize rooms, M1 Seating creates spaces for different situations. Whether these are conversation niches or open waiting areas, small work islands in the room or entire seating landscapes: the upholstered modules are easy to convert without tools and can be combined with each other for very different and special uses.

Playing with the upholstery construction kit
The seating elements have a width of 80 cm, a depth of 60 cm and a seat height of 45 cm. The chassis is a frame element that is identical in design and height to the base frames of the M1 shelving system and thus forms a design unit. The seat elements have a slot on the long side into which a backrest element can be inserted - also without tools. Square stool elements measuring 60 x 60 cm are available for over-corner situations, which also function as storage or table elements. Linear and over-corner configurations are fixed in place with clamps without tools. The individual modules are lightweight and virtually predestined to be used in ever new constellations: Tetris for users who like to experiment!

Colorful, modular and sustainable
There is a wide range of fabrics in different qualities to choose from for the upholstered elements: Covers with linen-like fabrics in warm natural colors or strong colors with a felt-like surface. M1 Seating can therefore be designed to be anything from homely and comfortable to subtly Nordic or brightly colored. Or the seating elements, stool elements and backrests in different colors can be skillfully mixed and matched. A colorful game that is also interesting for the private sphere. The modular character with easy conversion options makes M1 Seating sustainable, and VARIO produces exclusively in Germany to avoid long transportation routes.
